Accessing your website content via FTP will be fast and easy. You will be able to upload & download files and directories with just a few mouse clicks. Besides managing the entire content, you can also provide other persons with access to a certain section of your hosting account without giving them access to the hosting Control Panel where they can view personal e-mails or other sensitive data they’re not supposed to. This can be done by setting up a separate FTP account that they can use to access only one folder in the hosting account. Such a feature is rather useful in case you use several web designers or in case you rely on a website building application like FrontPage or Dreamweaver to manage multiple sites simultaneously, since you can have a different FTP account for each person or each website. In such a case, it’s crucial to be able to manage your FTP accounts without any hassles.

FTP Manager in Shared Hosting

If you open a shared hosting account with us, you will receive access to the quite powerful FTP Manager, which is included in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The tool offers several different options, aside from the possibility to create or delete FTP accounts. You’ll be able to view the access path for each account and by clicking on it, you can change it so that the account will access another folder. Auto-config files are available for download as well, so you won’t need to configure anything manually – you can just download the given file for FileZilla, Core FTP or CyberDuck and install it on your computer system. To make the management itself simpler, the FTP Manager will allow you to see all the accounts that you’ve set up in alphabetical order, on the basis of either the access path or the username.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you open a semi-dedicated server account with us, you will be able to use a number of features that are available in the FTP Manager section of our next-generation Hepsia Control Panel. You can set up a new FTP account and define which directory it will have access to with only a few clicks of the mouse via a simple-to-use GUI. A list of all the FTP accounts that you have will be available in the very same section too and, for the sake of convenience, you can sort them by access path or username in descending or ascending order, so you will be able to swiftly find the account that you need. Changing the access path for an active FTP account is as simple as clicking on it and choosing the new path, while removing an account or updating its password requires a single click of the mouse as well. With the FTP Manager, you can also download config files for famous desktop software apps such as FileZilla and CyberDuck.
